The Comets played only their 5th ever game today, away at Bond St u8s.  

From kick off, Bond st came out on the attack, and created a couple of chances, but with our captain and goalkeeper, Will, pulling off some good saves he kept us in the game.

It wasn't long before The Comets got into their stride. With Pascal at the back, making strong tackles, Ruben and Ronnie made good runs into their box, and Arthur and Robbie making some good passes, all creating chances for Irvin and Ashwin up front. 

It was Blake who took his chances first, scoring two goals in the first half, one of which was a fantastic team goal.  

In the second half, the game ebbed and flowed. it was end to end with both teams creating chances and going for the win.  With Will in goal and Pascal in defence, they were proving to be a solid rock that Bond St struggled to breakdown. 

Ronnie, Ruben, Blake and Arthur covered every blade of grass, making good runs and winning the ball back, Ashwin and Irvin up front were creating chances,  in this half, it was Robbie who came up with the goods and scored two goals, one from a good distance. 

All in all, it was a great game of football, both teams playing great, and it was a fantastic team performance from the Comets,  everyone playing their part.
