At the back end of 2024, Griffins u11s player Bella and her family found out that she had a heart defect.

Although all our sites have fixed defibrillators her coaches Donavan & Haydn know that not all away sites do, in addition every second counts in an emergency.

They had the idea to try and raise the cash to purchase a portable defibrillator to carry with them at games and for Bella to use too.

They set up a gofundme page, both them and the other parents have raised a fantastic £2921, not only enough for the original portable defibrillator but also enough for 2 more, 3 in total one for Griffins matches, a personal one for Bella and another one for the club to use.

On monday at Griffins training, Coaches Haydn, Donovan and the rest of the Griffins had the honour of presenting our superstar Bella and her family with their very own portable defibrillator.

They were also able to present our wonderful chairman, Lee Egan with one for use by every Winton Wanderers Football Club team if they are travelling to an away game, tournament or if the need ever arises at a home game.

The Griffins have one with their medical bag to take to training, matches and anywhere the team goes.
