Lionesses Roar to 6-0 Victory in Tough Conditions
Winton Wanderers FC Lionesses delivered an impressive 6-0 win over Radcliffe Town, overcoming rainy, windy conditions on a muddy slippery pitch. From the very first whistle, the Lionesses never let their opponents settle, pressing high and maintaining control throughout.
Winny was in superb form, scoring a brilliant hat-trick, including a fantastic solo run from the halfway line before calmly slotting the ball home. Poppy added a well-deserved brace, while Annabel rounded off the scoring with a composed finish.
Defensively, the team was rock solid, with the midfielders running tirelessly to cover every blade of grass. When called upon, our goalkeeper was as safe as houses, confidently handling anything that came her way. The substitutes also played a crucial role when they came on, bringing fresh energy and continuing the team’s momentum – it was truly a squad effort from everyone involved.
The girls continue to build on the fantastic foundation laid by Coach Ste Kelsall, showing tremendous teamwork, hard work, and determination. It’s a pleasure to see them grow together as a unit. Well done, Lionesses!
